Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the open spaces within the spine, which can put pressure on the spinal cord and the nerves that travel through the spine. Spinal stenosis occurs most often in the neck and lower back and can cause pain, numbness, muscle weakness, and problems with bladder or bowel function. These symptoms gradually worsen over time and may require surgery. Our caregivers are trained to help clients manage their pain and keep active as long as possible. Should your condition require surgery DiMi’s trained caregivers can provide post-operative care and assist with activities of daily living during your recovery.
