Medical Insurance covers medically necessary skilled services. This usually includes skilled nursing services like monitoring blood pressure, checking labs or performing wound care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Medical Insurance may also cover a bath visit by a home health aide.  Each visit is approximately an hour long with 45 minutes of hands on care. The frequency of visits is determined by the patient’s needs and assessed by nursing and therapy team during the initial evaluation.

No.  Medicare and supplemental insurance only cover skilled medically necessary services. Your supplemental insurance can help pay some of the costs that Original Medicare doesn’t cover, like copayments, coinsurance and deductibles. The assistance of a home health aide with activities of daily living is considered custodial care and NOT medically necessary so it would not be covered by Medicare or your Medicare Supplemental Insurance.

Long term care policies cover assistance with activities of daily living. If a client does not have long term care insurance the services can be paid for with private funds (checks, credit cards, or proceeds from a veteran’s aide and attendance pension), workman’s compensation benefits or some automobile or travel insurance policies. Services can also be covered by Medicaid Long Term Care Programs if a patient meets financial eligibility and is approved for nursing home level of care.

Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) are basic self-care tasks.  These include bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, toileting, feeding and ambulating.

We understand the importance of a stable, long lasting caregiver relationship.  Our Staffing Coordinators match the best caregiver available during the times the client choses. If the need arises and it becomes necessary to schedule more than one caregiver, we will work diligently to keep the same team in place.  Scheduling arrangements are made with your involvement and our staffing coordinator at the office.

Yes.  We strive to match the right caregiver with each client. We will accommodate any request for a change at any time and encourage your participation and input during the selection process.  If changes need to be made we will coordinate all calls to the caregiver and client.

DiMi Nursing offers flexible service schedules and does not require our clients to be locked in a contract for a specific period of hours or days.  We understand how quickly things change and can modify schedules with little or no advance notice.  Should you need to modify your caregivers schedule during a night or over the weekend we have on call staffing coordinators available 24/7.

Please contact us for specific pricing information. Cost of services provided varies depending on the specific care needed and the rate requested by the caregiver providing services.
